Associate Professor in the Institute of Audiovisual Arts at the Jagiellonian University; author of five books and over two hundred articles on popular and Polish movies; editor of eleven collective volumes. Currently Professor Emerita – finally she can do to the fullest what she really likes: she’s putting the final touches to the last chapter of her book Jancioland i okolice [Johnnieland and Surrounds] on Jan Jakub Kolski’s movies; she reaches out for films with happy endings only, binge-watches long-running series and immerses herself in bulky crime novels, being especially passionate about Cormoran Strike’s investigations; she’s a rabid fan of Benedict Cumberbatch, great enthusiast of bel canto operas and songs of Elvis Presley.
