The Cinema Overshadowed by Parades, or Enthusiasts
Abstract
Giżycki writes about the famous exhibition shown at Warsaw’s Centre for Contemporary Art, entitled Enthusiasts from the Amateur Film Clubs by Marysia Lewandowska and Neil Cummings, presenting films shot by AKF members. Giżycki not only analyses an artistic idea of the exhibition authors but rather value of the films for film studies. Giżycki reflects on their place in the Polish film culture of the 1960s and 1970s, praises their courage, diversity and originality of topics.
