Waiting for Heaven: A Gloss to the Book “Heaven Will Allow Us. On Film and TV Production of Todd Haynes” by Andrzej Pitrus
Abstract
Andrzej Pitrus, PhD, the off off-cinema expert, has worked on a book on the work of Todd Haynes, one of the key figures of New Queer Cinema. Pitrus presents and elaborates chronologically all the films Haynes has made. The analyses he offers are well documented, scientifically credible and cognitively insightful. Maciejewski above all emphasizes their erudite character, complex intertextual connections linking Haynes’ films with other titles, genres and trends.
