Memories of Film and Cinema in Lvov
Abstract
A review of a book by Barbara Gierszewska Cinema and Film in Lvov till 1939 (Kino i film we Lwowie do 1939 r.). Gierszewska carried out research in Lvov's archives, she looked through newspapers, magazines and personal journals in order to give the reader a full picture of film and cinema in one of the most important centres of Polish culture of those times. Ambitious and up to date film journals were published in Lvov, which was also the birthplace of Polish academic film studies.
