Abstract

The Anthropology of Media: A Reader, the anthology edited by Kelly Askew and Richard R. Wilk, is a book designed to present the anthropology of media as a sub-field of anthropology. It also prooves that contrary to complaints about the crisis in discussions on media, these reflections have a bright future. Sikora stresses the diversity of the texts and themes raised in the anthology and rates it as a very valuable item.
