The Mediological Tour of the World of Pictures
Abstract
Zawojski reviews the book Technology of Vision, or Media in Search of the Author: Wim Wenders by known film theoretician and media expert Andrzej Gwóźdź. But Gwóźdź, however, is not an ordinary monographer. As for the film director his cinema is the starting point for broader reflection on the meaning and function of film in general, for the book author the oeuvre of Wenders becomes a pretext for a look at „the philosophy of the media” from a much broader and post-modern perspective.
