Seduced by the Picture
Abstract
Ewa Mazierska writes about Elzbieta Wiacek’ s book on the work of one of the most notable film makers, Abbas Kiarostami. According to Mazierska, the book is very reliable, elaborate, multi-dimensional and at the same time coherent. The coherence is first of all a result of the consistent employment of anthropological and historical perspectives. The book also owes its coherence to the fact that it has a main (dominant) plot - the title journeys.
