Abstract
The article is a review of Adrianna Woroch’s book To tylko sztuczka. O samoświadomości kina i technikach deziluzyjnych we współczesnych filmach [It’s Just a Trick: On Cinematic Self-Awareness and Disillusive Techniques in Contemporary Films] (2022), which extensively discusses various reflexive techniques employed by filmmakers over the past forty years. The author addresses the structure of the work, the theory presented by Woroch and her methodology, and situates the book in the context of other works focused on the idea of cinematic self-reflexivity.
