The Cracow Manuscript: Piotr Jaworski Talks with Wojciech Jerzy Has
Abstract
Has explains in a conversation with Piotr Jaworski why his films are mostly adaptations of literature (Schulz, Hłasko, Prus, Dygat, Brandys and others), what stimulates his imagination and how work on the set is distributed. Has also speaks of his cooperation with Lodz film school students, of his view on relations of literature, and first and foremost of classical music on the ability to build a cinematic structure. The interview is a talk with a mature artist who knows what the filmmaker should look for in the cinema.
