A Man in Pedro Almodóvar’s Films
Abstract
The issue of gender seems to be of key importance for the understanding of Pedro Almodóvar’s film making. The text is an attempt to answer the question of the role or the way a man exists in a world created by Almodóvar. Michalak reflects on the way the masculinity of Almodóvar’s heroes is being constructed before the eyes of spectators. Michalak uses instruments of film studies and gender studies to analyse the films.
