Abstract

Hopfinger says in a review of Ryszard Kluszczyński’s book Film, wideo, multimedia. Sztuka ruchomego obrazu w erze elektronicznej [Film, Video, Multimedia: The Art of Motion Picture in the Electronic Age] (1999) that he works to create the picture of contemporary audiovisual art in a consistent way. To Kluszczyński, cinematic photographic film is a reference point in motion picture art research. He points to changes of media and communication context of the functioning of the cinema. What is interesting, she considers film codes fundamental for audiovisual transmission; she identifies them in video, computer games and multimedia art.
