Abstract

The transcript of a paper from a Hamsun symposium. Among other things, Rottem tackles the problem of Hamsun’s political views, both as expressed in and outside literary texts. The Hamsun-creator seems much more interesting to the author than the ‘Hamsun-Nazi’, because it is the creator who is the enigma.
