Epilogue – Places of Memory’s Play
Abstract
The article is a fragment of the book Ingmar Bergman: „Allting föreställer, ingenting är”. Filmen och teatern – en tvärsestetisk Studie appreciated in a special way by Bergman himself. Koskinen expertly explores the field of Bergman’s film, theatre and literary production. She studies plots, motifs, moods and production methods in the areas of Bergman’s artistic activity, stating that they converge in a particularly strong way in his work. Although the article concerns most of his late production, Koskinen cites Bergman’s whole artistic activity, pointing, among other things, to strong autobiographical motifs and the recurring motif a child.
