Homo Patient – Homo Creativus
Abstract
Głowa analyses the drama of old, sick and unwanted people not only as a cinematic subject but also as a determinant of modern culture. On the one hand, we have documentaries movingly showing the survival of the people of the “Fourth Age” (Taboo. Memento Mori, dir. Christopher Gachet, 1996) and on the other hand, we have warm and respectful films of the Czech school of documentary films of Hanak and Rychlik.
