Polish Musicians in Interwar Paris

Abstract
This article is a review of Renata Suchowiejko’s book Muzyczny Paryż à la polonaise w okresie międzywojennym. Artyści – wydarzenia – konteksty [Musical Paris à la polonaise in the Interwar Period. Artists – Events – Contexts], which is the first comprehensive and richly sourced study concerning Polish musicians in Paris between 1918 and 1939. The researcher approaches the subject from several perspectives: their artistic activities and presence in Parisian musical life, the presentation of selected institutions in which they operated, as well as French music criticism reviewing Polish performers and composer’s works.
