Unknown Letters from Fryderyk Chopin to Julian Fontana Are Not Autographs

Abstract
This article addresses the issue of authenticity of the recently discovered manuscripts of two letters from Fryderyk Chopin to Julian Fontana, held in the collections of the Archivum Helveto-Polonicum Foundation in Fribourg. Comparative analysis of two manuscripts leads to the conclusion that, written by an unknown hand, they are only copies of previously published Chopin letters.
