MISSION OF EDITORIAL TEAM AND ACADEMIC ADVISORY BOARD


The whole editorial team of Biuletyn Historii Sztuki upholds the journal’s mission to contribute to the advancement of academic research on art through the publication of academic texts of the highest quality in terms of content and language, characterised by originality, reliability and potential for the development of art studies. The editors are guided in their actions by the rules set out in the Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement.

The editorial team is responsible for:

  • content development of the journal and initiation of thematic volumes;
  • pre-selection and internal review of submitted articles and taking final decisions on publication after the review process has been completed;
  • organization and evaluation of the peer review process;
  • ethically driven communication with authors, reviewers, and readers;
  • organization and implementation of the entire publishing process (including technical and stylistic revision of texts);
  • maintaining and enhancing the reputation of the journal in the various academic communities.

The members of Academic Advisory Board support the editorial team in its mission by:

  • advising on the evaluation of texts in controversial cases;
  • assisting in the consideration of appeals against publication decisions;
  • assisting in the resolution of controversial publication ethics issues;
  • disseminating the information about Biuletyn Historii Sztuki in diverse academic and cultural communities.
