Abstract

Starting from a typological approach to the category of the borderland this text analyses two faces of the Albanian-Greek borderland. The first is cultural and directly related to the category of acculturation and individual association. The second is the political, socio-economic borderland that flourishes around the border between Albania and Greece. The autobiographical nuances also refer to the relationship between the anthropologist and the subject of his studies, particularly in the context of practicing local anthropology.
