Publication Practices in Jerzy Zachara’s “NieTakT”

Abstract
The article deals with “NieTakT”, Jerzy Zachara’s auteur periodical published in 1991–1992, and focuses on the author’s creative practices, simultaneously situating them within the context of changes related to the transition from analogue to digital technology and the dynamics of the remediation process. The author indicates the important role of the photo-copier as a tool rendering possible the autonomy of publishing projects and the close connection of Zachara’s activity with analogue technology and the materiality of the text. Finally, Aleksander Wojtowicz presents the manner in which the artist continued to pursue his activity on the Internet and considers the consequences of changing the medium for Zachara’s artistic expression.

Aleksander Wójtowicz – historyk literatury, edytor, ornitolog amator. Profesor UMCS. Zajmuje się dziejami polskich oraz europejskich ruchów awangardowych, sztuką nowoczesną, edytorstwem literatury XX wieku oraz przyrodopisarstwem. Autor książek: Cogito i „sejsmograf podświadomości”. Proza Pierwszej Awangardy (2010), Nowa Sztuka. Początki (i końce) (2017), „Epoka wielkiego zamętu”. Szkice o literaturze nowoczesnej 1918–1939 (2020) oraz Awangarda lubelska, t. 1: Energie Reflektora (2024). Publikował w „Pamiętniku Literackim”, „Ruchu Literackim”, „Kontekstach”, „Tekstach Drugich“, „Praktyce Teoretycznej”, „Sztuce Edycji”, „Kwartalniku Filmowym” oraz „Chrońmy Przyrodę Ojczystą”. Współredaktor książki „Który tak śpiewa?”. Ptaki w kulturze (2023).
