Abstract
The article presents multidimensional site-specific performative formats developed in the performances D’ARC (2024) and Still Standing (2023), which ensure the creation, course, and reception of these productions. The author identifies performative formats in the phenomenological, sociological, and discursive paradigms, as theorised by Miwon Kwon in her book One Place After Another: Site Specific Art and Locational Identity (2002). Describing the experiential and interpretive aspects of spectatorship, she draws on Mateusz Chaberski’s findings presented in Doświadczenie (syn)estetyczne: Performatywne aspekty przedstawień site-specific ([Syn] aesthetic Experience: Performative Aspects of Site-Specific Performance) (2015). The Warsaw performances D’ARC and Still Standing have been chosen not only due to their artistic merit but also because they represent two types of working with space: site-specific and site-generic. The analysis emphasises the interpenetration of Kwon’s paradigms, while the identification of format-forming factors brings into view the multitude of creative possibilities and the potential for social impact
