Abstract

Archival material containing several documents selected from the extensive files of the Ministry of Internal Affairs collected in connection with Dziady, Kazimierz Dejmek and the Union of Polish Writers (ZLP), and stored currently in five folders at the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN). In the introduction, the editor describes the contents of this diverse collection, which includes milice reports, wiretap records, notes from party authorities, denunciations and confiscated letters. The documents offer insight into the methods and extent of surveillance targeting the artistic milieu during the period of 1967 to 1968.
