Résumé of Pamiętnik Teatralny 1956/1


Abstract

French summary of articles published in Pamiętnik Teatralny 5, issue 1 (1956) which was devoted mainly to theater in Poland in the 18th and 19th centuries and the relationship between Edward Gordon Craig and Leon Schiller. It also includes the correspondence of ballet reformer Jean-Georges Noverre from 1766, related to his attempts to offer his services to King Stanislaw Augustus Poniatowski in Warsaw. The correspondence was found by Karyna Wierzbicka and published with commentary in this issue.
